Hotel management is categorized in the service group and the manager knows the organization, departments and sections of the hotel and the effective way of communicating with the guests. The manager also knows management knowledge, leadership and hotel organization, manpower management, and planning and monitoring. Besides, the hotel manager is aware of his authority, decision-making, resolution of various issues, hotel budget adjustment and cost control. His other duties include acquiring knowledge of various sectors of tourism industry. Finally, the manager is familiar with the decoration and interior design of the hotel, the way of marketing and attracting customers, the way of communicating within and outside the organization, and the implementation of the laws and regulations related to hotels.
